Troy – Daniel P. Quinn, 87, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 3, 2013. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Martin J. and Elizabeth Anglum Quinn. Mr. Quinn was raised in Sycaway and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy where he excelled in the sports of basketball and football. He furthered his education by attending Villanova University and served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. In more recent years, Mr. Quinn enjoyed golfing at Frear Park in Troy.
He was the beloved husband, for 63 years, of Jane M. Van Sleet Quinn and the brother-in-law of Richard J. and Joyce Van Sleet. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial, to which all are invited, will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:15 o’clock in Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests contributions be directed to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 or to the Alzheimer's Association Northeastern NY, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY, 12205 in memory of Daniel P. Quinn.
