TROY – Jane Alice Murray Zyglewicz, 87, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her daughter at her side. Born in Troy on April 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Large Quinn Murray. Jane was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School in South Troy and Catholic Central High School.
She was employed by Montgomery Ward & Co. in Menands, the Watervliet Arsenal, Denby’s Department Store and most recently by the New York State Dept. of the Aging and the Rensselaer County Dept. of the Aging.
Jane loved decorating her home and enjoyed traveling with her late husband Charles.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles L. Zyglewicz who died July 10, 2013, loving mother of Justine (Paul) Phoenix of Foxboro, MA, sister of the late Henry, Edward, Margaret, Evelyn and Patricia Murray and Margaret Quinn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet with Deacon Chuck Wojton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, South Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 10-11 am.
