Obituary for Donald F. Feiden

NISKAYUNA – Donald F. Feiden, our father who art in heaven, spent his last days with the joyous company of his cherished family and close friends, passing away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
He was born in Troy, NY on January 23, 1929, the son of the late Earl B. Feiden and Helena M. Portman Feiden. Don was raised in Latham and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Donald entered into the family business, Earl B. Feiden Appliance in Latham where he was a co-owner before retiring. He also explored a career in real estate.
He was active in the community and served as a volunteer firefighter in Niskayuna. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, boating and playing with gadgets. He most cherished the time spent with his family.
He is the beloved father of Dave M. (Trish Merz) Feiden of Niskayuna, Beth (Ron) Badger of Mesa, AZ, Amy Feiden of Dorset, VT and Emily J. (Stephen) Zadrozinski of Canton, GA; proud grandfather of Alyssa Zadrozinski and Olivia Kuk; brother of Earl B. (Jo) Feiden, Jr. of Loudonville and Joan Murphy of Rockport, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 am at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 pm.
