TROY – Francis J. Adams, Sr., 66, died Monday, December 5, 2016. Born in Cohoes on December 14, 1949, he was the son of the late Stephen Francis and Beatrice Breault Adams. Raised and educated in Cohoes, he served in the US Marines from 1969-70.
He was employed by Pepsi-Cola, Holmes Trucking in Watervliet and for over 35 years was the owner of Adams Pool Water in Johnsonville before retiring. Frank's trucking CB name was "Bed Bug".
He loved fast cars and his beloved pets, Ollie and Harley.
He is the husband of Donna LeCuyer Adams; beloved father of Rhonda (Doug Pierre) Mercure of Cohoes, Carrie (Kevin) O’Connell, Frank (Kristina) Adams, Jr. and Jennifer (Dan Wolfe) Adams all of Brunswick, Donni Adams and Nicholas (Stephanie Clune) Adams both of Cohoes, Jessie Adams of Troy and the late Stephen F. Adams, Sr. who died February 6, 2016; brother of Lucille (Jim) Dillenbeck of Wilton, Robert (Wanda Griffen) Adams and Thomas Adams both of Johnsonville and the late John and Stanley Adams. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Sunday from 1-3 pm followed by the funeral service at 3 pm. Following cremation, his ashes will be interred with his son Stephen at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford on Tuesday at 12 noon.
