Obituary for William J. "Billy" Dugan Jr.

SLINGERLANDS – William J. “Billy” Dugan, Jr., 62, formerly of Watervliet, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Community Hospice Inn in Albany after a brief illness. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late William J. and Dorothy McGrath Dugan, Sr. Billy had been a resident of the Lexington Group Home in Gloversville before moving to the Lexington Krumkill Road Residence.
He is the brother of Kathie Griffin of Cohoes, Patricia Fredette of Waterford, Marian (Pastor Dave) Haines of Georgia, Thomas G. Dugan and Patrick M. Dugan both of Watervliet; uncle of Christopher, Amber and Sam Fredette; and is survived by his family at Lexington Krumkill Road.
Special thanks to the staff at Lexington for the wonderful care they gave our brother.
The funeral service will be Monday at 1 pm at the Cummings Funeral Home, 643 Third Avenue (Rt. 32 south of Arsenal), Watervliet. Friends may call prior to the service from 12-1 pm. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet.
