The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sherwood Carver can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Carver and Family,

Words cannot express my sorrow at loss of
dear Rev. Carver. I remember him very
fondly at Teresian House when I played
at the Service. I know he is in the
vineyard of the Lord. He has been a
blessing to his family, Community and
all in need. Know that I will remember him
in my prayers. Be assured of my prayers
to you and family at this difficult time.
We are firmly people of faith. We look
forward to the Resurrection.
Love,
Br. Anthony Casso, M.S.

Condolence: Carole:
You and Woody have a special place in my life and in my ministry. I often think of my years at BHUMC and how they led me back to ministry.

We are living in Florida now and unable to attend the service, but please know we are offering prayers of thanksgiving for Woody's life and for yours.

Condolence From: Pastor Bob Long
Condolence: To Carol, Diane, Dan and family,

Woody was one of my mentors and friends. I cherished his gentle, yet strong personality, with his wry humor which could cheerfully lighten darkness in any place. I deeply respected his care for people, his interest in the moment with people and the investment of himself in people -- whether family, congregation or wider circles. He was always thoughtful. He was sincere in
the manner in which he sought to make people feel safe, welcomed and free to become themselves and take risks. He was one who stood, not in front of others, nor behind, but beside. Interrelationships were important to him. His deep and growing trust that God's creation and daily life were expressions of goodness and places inviting commitment of compassionate love was always present to me.

I offer you my personal care and love in this time of most personal loss. More importantly I affirm once again with you that you are all in the care of the One who care more than all others together.

As you move through the necessary process of grasping, accepting, integrating and moving on -- be kind and patient to yourselves.
Keep each other healthy and share memories and emotions, thoughts and gratitude as they surface.

In the fullness of Shalom,

Bob
