WATERVLIET – Lorraine Gwinn Raymond Harris, 87, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. Born in Green Island on February 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Laurina Archambault Gwyn.
Lorraine was raised and educated in Troy. She lived at the Hanratta Apartments in Watervliet for 5 years. She was employed by Southco Manufacturing in Menands for over 30 years as a machine operator.
She was the wife of the late Louis J. Raymond, Sr.; beloved mother of Louis J. (Kathleen) Raymond, Jr. of Troy, John J. Raymond of Los Angeles, CA, William (Barbara) Raymond of Melrose, Barbara Raymond of Bakersfield, CA and the late Kenneth Francis Raymond; sister of Joan Quell, Kenneth Gwinn and Betty Diehl all of Troy. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Thursday from 11:00 am – 12 noon. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
