Condolence From: Ann McCullen Hess
Condolence: Hess Family,

So sorry for your loss. Ray was one of a kind so nice and cheerful. When I would see him in the halls of the capitol I would say Hi "Mr. Hess" he say hi back. Then one day he was at the Albany AOH,I ask him if he knew my last name? He did not, I told him my last name is Hess. Then he said oh this is my son and I introduced him to my son. So the 4 Hess' were there laughing. I never saw him with out a smile.

Condolence:
My sympathies to the Hess family. I knew Ray very well from my time in the NYS Senate, particularly my last five years with the Senate on the staff of Senator Thomas W. Libous's, who sadly is also not with us any longer. Ray was a consummate professional and hard worker who always went beyond the call of duty for all the Senators and he had a particular fondness for Senator Libous and the feeling was mutual. Ray would go out of his way to make sure whatever we needed was taken of and he would come back and check to make sure every thing was done and we were in good shape.

My heart goes out to the Hess family, Ray was a good, decent man and my friend too!
