Obituary for Keaven Wade "Greenie" Green

WATERVLIET – Keaven Wade Green, “Greenie”, 66, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 following a kayak accident on Saranac Lake. Born in Raleigh, NC on September 16, 1950, he was the son of the late George Harvey Green and Elizabeth Christensen Green.
As a teenager, he moved to Olive Bridge, NY before moving to South Troy. He was a self-employed general contractor for many years and specialized in painting.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was a huge Green Bay Packers football fan. He loved taking his grandchildren to the playground and was known to help anyone in need, just “call Keaven”. He will be sorely missed by his whole family.
He was the beloved life partner of 43 years of Terry A. Gordon; father of Clifford Green of Schaghticoke, step-father of John Weeks of Watervliet and father of Pamela Green of Troy; estranged husband of Sandra Weeks Green of Troy; grandfather of Daniel Donald Weeks, Antastasia Diane Weeks, Wade Allen Thomas, Andrew and Aaron Melton and Zephryn Noble; brother of Stephanie Green, Doreen Colette, Wayne Thomas Green and William Green all of North Carolina. He is also survived by several loving in-laws and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 12 noon at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet with Rev. John F. Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday prior to the service from 10am-12noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
