Obituary for Barbara L. Vincent (Curtis)

WATERVLIET – Barbara L. Vincent, 77, of the Hudson Shores Plaza, died peacefully Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Chatham, NY on October 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Eileen Bushey Curtis. Barbara was raised and educated in Chatham and has resided in Watervliet for most of her life.
Along with her late husband William F. “Bumper” Vincent, she assisted with the operation of Larry’s Tavern in Watervliet. She was also a waitress at the former Rotundi’s Luncheonette in downtown Troy and for 15 years was employed by Price Chopper Supermarket in the Deli department at various local stores including Menands and Hudson Valley.
Barbara was a diehard New York Yankee baseball fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles and buying lottery tickets.
In addition to her late husband, she is survived by three loving children, Mike (Tina) Brand of Menands, Kelly (Jeff) Hampton of Connecticut and Lynnette Riley of Schenectady. She is the sister of Sharon (Donald) Bartel of Old Forge, NY and the late Russell and Richard Curtis. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Wednesday from 10-11 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Interment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
