WATERVLIET – John L. Weeks, 45, died suddenly early Friday, January 5, 2018 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Albany on July 3, 1972, he is the beloved son of Terry A. Gordon of Watervliet and the late Daniel W. Weeks and stepson of the late Keaven W. Green.
John was raised and educated in Watervliet and graduated from Watervliet Elementary School and Watervliet High School, class of 1990.
He was employed as a carpet installer for Colonie Carpet Service for over 20 years.
John was a huge sports fan and a diehard fan of the Oakland Raiders and a loyal member of Raider Nation. He loved all types of music. But above all else, he loved his children and his family.
In addition to his mother Terry Gordon who survives, he is the loving father of Daniel Donald Weeks and Antastasia Diane Weeks both of Watervliet; partner of Melissa Chamberlain of Troy; step-father of T.J. Chamberlain and David Poggi. He is also survived and loved by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews and many friends.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Monday from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. John F. Tallman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his mother, Terry Gordon, 2309 8th Avenue, Watervliet, NY 12189 to assist her with funeral expenses and to help with the care of John’s children.
