I am flooded with so many memories of the old neighborhood and all of us sitting around the summer bonfires, hide-and-seek,kick ball games, and Fr Quinlivan scolding us for bouncing the ball off the "back" of the church for 3-flies--in WHILE mass or confessions were going on.I loved your dad. I'm sure he made my Uncle John's visits much more entertaining than they would have been without male companionship...and beer. Sorry for your loss.
