Clifton Park - Jane Alund Kimball, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 4, 1936 to the late Thomas Alund and the late Margaret Tracy Alund of Watervliet. She graduated from Catholic Central High School, Troy. During her life, she worked as a bank teller, a clerk at the Education Department, but her most important jobs were as a fulltime mom to her three children and being a devoted wife. Jane enjoyed spending time at her camp on Saratoga Lake, especially on her pontoon boat. Jane also loved traveling, cruising, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Jane is survived by her husband Robert Kimball, whom she married on June 8, 1957. Survivors also include her children; Lori (Tony) Scalera, Scot (Amy) Kimball, and Holly (David Sharrow) Kimball, her grandchildren; Nikki, Kyle, Jocelyn, Robert, Tyler, Ted, and Jack, her sister, Lorraine Alund, and her brothers; C. Donald (Lucy) Alund, and William (Janice) Alund, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings; Thomas (Felicia) Alund, John (Ella) Alund, and M. Doris (Arthur) Lear. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ellis Hospital, Rotterdam Schenectady Dialysis Center, and Kingsway Arms for the care and comfort they provided for Jane.
Visitation Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4 until 7 PM at Parker Bros. Memorial, Watervliet. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 9:30 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park. A private inurnment will take place in Gerald BH Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.
