Obituary for Evelyn M. Mallison (Jones)

Latham - Evelyn M. Mallison, 95, of Latham, died February 17, 2018 at Albany Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the widow of James D. Mallison.
Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Jones. She was a resident of the Latham area since 1966.
Evelyn was employed as a machine operator at the Watervliet Arsenal during WWII, the Korean War, and from 1979-1984. She also worked as a machine operator at William Press, Menands, for 15 years, and as an account clerk for NYS Dept. of Tax and Finance, and the Dept. of Labor, for 9 years. She retired in 1984. She was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham.
Survivors include her children; Lance R. Mallison and Craig S. Mallison, both of Latham, Sandra Curley of Clifton Park, Diana Gadowski of Somerville, NJ, and Edward Mallison of Halfmoon, her seven grandchildren; Christopher, Keith, Shawn, Tom, Brian, Lisa, and Laura, and five great-grandchildren; Amanda, Julia, Alex, Ava, and Lana.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, February 23, 11 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Latham. Visitation prior to the service, from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at Bowen and Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will follow the service in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
