Obituary for Jean A. Ciarlone (McLoughlin)

WATERVLIET - Jean A. Ciarlone, 70, of Watervliet, passed away on March 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, Jean was the daughter of the late John F. and Margaret (Sipperly) McLoughlin. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School and Albany Business College. On March 13, 1971 she married the love of her life, Frank, and was happily married for 47 years. Jean worked at the Watervliet Arsenal for a period of time before she made the decision to stay at home and raise her three children. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruising to various locations, her favorites being Alaska and the Panama Canal. She enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren participate in their various sporting events and teaching them how to make homemade raviolis so that they may carry on the tradition of making them for the family Christmas dinner. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to Fenway Park to see them play. Jean enjoyed lunches with her good friends Ginny, Deb, Ellen, and Sue, as well as with her classmates from Watervliet High School.
Jean was the beloved wife of Frank M. Ciarlone, loving mother to Scott F. Ciarlone of Clifton Park, Jennifer (John) Mainello of Brunswick and Tracey (Steve) Delisle of Halfmoon. Proud Nonna to Emily Anne and Sydney Joan Delisle and Vincent John and Anthony Francis Mainello. She is also survived by her brother Paul (Patricia) McLoughlin of Athens, NY, sister-in-law Madelyn Sheeran, brothers-in-law Ralph Ciarlone, Tony Ciarlone and the late Joan (Bill) Riley along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 am in the Shrine Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 28 State Street, Troy. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Jean’s family on Friday, from 4 until 7 pm, at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be made to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D Woodbury, NY 11797 or to The Community Hospice, St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation 310 S. Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208.
