Obituary for Mildred E. Riley (Norvik)

Colonie – Mildred E. (Norvik) Riley passed away peacefully on March 18, 2018.

Millie was born on December 23, 1916 to Jalmar and Elizabeth (Dorman) Norvik. She was married to the late Lawrence G. Riley in February of 1946. Millie graduated from Watervliet High School and went on to work for Montgomery Ward & Company. Millie and her beloved husband enjoyed skiing, traveling, and boating. In 1958, Millie was cited by the United States Power Squadron’s Honor Roll as having passed the examination for marine navigation. She also enjoyed gardening and having picnics with her family and friends at their family camp. We will all miss Millie’s beautiful smile and her unwavering kindness.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Millie in a special way may consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
