Obituary for Barbara Kuziara Tessier

Barbara  Kuziara Tessier
Barbara (Kuziara) Tessier, 72, of Woodbury, CT and formerly of Watervliet, NY, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Saint Mary’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Richard Tessier for 45 years.

Barbara was born in Troy, NY on January 8, 1946, daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Kawa) Kuziara. Barbara was raised on 25th Street in Watervliet and was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception School. She later graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy, NY and the Albany College of Pharmacy. She worked as a pharmacist for the Middlebury and Bethlehem Pharmacies and later retired from the Brookfield Pharmacy. After her retirement she earned a Master Gardener Degree from the University of Connecticut. She enjoyed trips to the casino and attending concerts.

Besides her husband of Woodbury, Barbara leaves one brother, Tommy Kuziara and his wife, Susan of Watervliet, NY, brother and sister in laws, Susan and Joe Fritz, Donna and James Tessier, five nieces, Dana and Jake Battiston and family, Dawn and Jeff O’Shaughnessy and family, Melissa and Kevin Darcey and family, Jennifer Fritz and family, Megan and Christopher Davis and family, four nephews, Liam and Lexi Brenner and family, Philip and Lisa Senior and family, Brian Brenner, Ted Kuziara and Jennifer Richards and family, twelve grandnephews and six grandnieces.

Services were held Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Waterbury, CT.
