Obituary for Brandon Timothy Sherwin

Brandon Timothy Sherwin
WATERVLIET – Brandon Timothy Sherwin, 29, died unexpectedly on January 9, 2016 in Watervliet.

Brandon was born on September 2, 1986 in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up in Latham. He attended the Latham Ridge Elementary School and was a 2004 graduate of Shaker High School. He was an accomplished football and hockey player and was a fan of the Denver Broncos.

Brandon had a life-long love for playing his guitar and creating music. He enjoyed making raps. Loved by many, he was known as being soft-hearted, trusting and caring. He enjoyed joking around and spending time with his family and friends. Of all the things Brandon enjoyed, none gave him as much pleasure and pride as did his cherished daughter Lillian Paige. She was the light of his life.

Brandon was the cherished father of Lillian Paige Sherwin and always kept a special place in his heart for her mother, Kayla O’Connell. He was the much loved son of Timothy T. Sherwin and Jannice (Waldo) Sherwin: the devoted brother of Jason and Christian Sherwin; the paternal grandson of the late James and Rita Sherwin; the maternal grandson of Julia Waldo and the late John Waldo; the loving nephew of Christine and Ed Toma, James Sherwin, David and Paula Sherwin, Dan Sherwin, Mary-Ann and Derrick Gantt, Ninette and Michael Kondratowicz, Susan and John Heid and Giovina and Charlie Diamond; the dear cousin of Julie Thompson, Scott Toma, Aaron and Christopher Sherwin, Tristan and Alexis Ponte, Noah Gantt, Susan Kondratowicz, Scott, Keith and Khalan Heid and Robbie and Bridget Diamond. He is also survived by many friends.

The Sherwin family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our friends in the local communities who have been so supportive during this difficult time. We will be forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.

A service will be held on Thursday at 7:30 PM in the Parker Brothers Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. Family and friends are invited and may also visit with Brandon’s family on Thursday, before the service, from 3 until 7 PM. An interment service will take place on Friday at 9:30AM in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet. Friends who wish to attend are requested to gather inside the cemetery gates at 9:15AM.

For those who wish to honor Brandon’s life in a special way, his family has created a fund for his daughter Lillian Paige Sherwin. Donations may be sent in care of the Parker Brothers Memorial.
