TROY – Marianne Theresa Alberino Albarelli, 74, died peacefully Saturday evening, September 16, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her family at her side. Born in Troy on April 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Patricelli Alberino.
Marianne was raised and educated in Troy and was a 1961 graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was employed by the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles and NYS Military & Navy Affairs prior to her marriage to Joe Albarelli. She raised her two wonderful children and was a homemaker for many years before returning to work for 22 years as the Director of Personnel at the former Our Lady of Hope Residence in Latham before retiring 6 years ago.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church. She loved to shop, was an avid reader, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her family and especially her two grandchildren.
She is the beloved wife of 48 years of Joseph H. Albarelli, Jr. whom she married on October 18, 1969; loving mother of Joseph H. (Kimberly) Albarelli, III of Glens Falls and Debbie (Mark) Yamin of Troy; adored grandmother and “Nenna” of Brianna and Elizabeth Yamin; dear sister of Carl “Buster” (Debra) Alberino of Lake George and the late Joseph Alberino; cherished mother figure to Tricia Scoresone, her baby doll Tori Alberino, and Gabby and Emma Alberino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Barbara Romano for being Marianne’s dear friend and caregiver.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Wednesday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy. The family will receive friends prior to the mass starting at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy, NY.
