Obituary for Mary Lou Williams (Cole)

WATERVLIET – Mary Lou Cole Williams, 69, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home. Born in Troy on July 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edna Cole.
Mary Lou was raised in Watervliet and was a graduate of Watervliet High School. She later moved to Texas with her husband where they operated an automotive garage. Following her husband’s death, she moved back to Watervliet to raise her two sons.
She was employed by Price Chopper in Menands and later by Albany International in Menands as a machine operator for 19 years before they closed.
She was a former member of Jermain Memorial Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with her two grandsons and enjoyed watching old westerns and John Wayne movies and reading books.
She was the wife of the late Donald Keays who died in 1980; beloved mother of Mitchell W. (Andrea) Keays of Watervliet and the late Richard V. Keays who died in 2002; adored grandmother of Brady and Logan Keays; dear sister of Linda Cole of Watervliet and the late William Cole.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Tuesday from 4-6 pm.
