Victor, NY – Marjorie P. (Bruso) Wilkinson, 87, formerly of Albany, died on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Jewish Home of Rochester.

Born in Colrain, Massachusetts on September 6, 1930, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Magoon) Bruso. She had been a resident of Albany since 1946.

Marjorie was employed as a hairdresser and beautician for more than fifty years. Thirty five years of her career were spent at John Strand’s Beauty Salon on Pearl Street in downtown Albany and at Westgate Plaza.

Marjorie was a long-time member of the Jermain Memorial Ecumenical Presbyterian Church in Watervliet.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Archibald Wilkinson who died on July 12, 2009; Mother to Barbara(Andrew) Ilardo who died March 24, 2106 and the dear sister of the late Raymond and Edward Bruso.

Marjorie is survived by her grandchildren, Joanne (James) Bellefeuille of Victor, NY and Salvatore(Bobbie-Jo) Ilardo of Albany; her great-grandchildren, Brandon and Julia Bellefeuille, Andrew, Sophia, Mia, Elena and Lilianna Ilardo. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Staff of The Jewish Home of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10 am in the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. Interment will follow in the Albany Rural Cemetery where Marjorie will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Archibald. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Marjorie’s family on Friday, from 4 until 7 pm, at the funeral home.
