Obituary for Angela Rose Pouchak (Testo)

Cohoes – Angela Rose (Testo) Pouchak, 91, died on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Schuyler Ridge Residential Health Care Center in Clifton Park.

Born in San Martino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Marco and Adelina (Pastore) Testo. Angela immigrated to the United States in 1935 and settled in Troy, NY. She had been a resident of Cohoes since 1961. She was employed at F. Jacobson & Sons, Inc for 17 years, as a seamstress, before its closing. She also worked for the Cohoes School District as a cafeteria worker from 1981 until 1997. Angela was a communicant of the former St. Agnes/St. Patrick’s Parish in Cohoes and more recently attended Holy Trinity Parish in Cohoes. Angela enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Pouchak to whom she was married for 54 years at the time of his passing in 2013; the loving mother of Angela (Joel) Tremblay; the cherished grandmother of Eric Michael and Alyssa Marie Tremblay; the dear sister of Yolanda Wager Comproski, Mary Ann (late Michael) Holoboski and the late Mary (late John) Orloski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses, aides and staff at the Schuyler Ridge Residential Care Center for the care and compassion given to “Angie”.

Angela’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:15 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and will then proceed to the Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes where the funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the Briarwood-Fernwood Mausoleum at Memory Gardens, Colonie. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Angela’s family on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 4 until 7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations, in Angela’s memory may be made to the Schuyler Ridge Resident Activity Fund, 1 Abele Blvd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
