Evelyn Marion Knight (Skinkle)
LATHAM - It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Marion Knight announces her passing, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the age of 93.

She will be reunited with her beloved husband, Thomas J. Knight, and her treasured son, Daniel E. Knight. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Clara, Edward and Raymond Skinkle, as well as her parents, Edward and Cecelia Skinkle. She will be dearly missed by her children and their spouses, Bernadette Knight (Doug), Tim Knight (Barbara), and Daniel Knight’s wife Janette. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and their partners, Michelle Gutowski (Ramon), Melissa Knight (Michelle), Kelly Knight (Colter) and Deanna Knight (Chad). Her two great-grandchildren, Justin Knight Gutowski Sucgang and Joseph Daniel “JD” Hartoon, will also miss her greatly.

Evelyn cherished her family. She adored her loving husband, Tom, and their three children. Her home was always open to loved ones and no one ever left hungry. She was a wonderful cook and caregiver to many. Evelyn contributed to every generation’s growth. She was generous to all. When Evelyn and Tom were not with family and friends, they would travel together. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church and Mended Hearts. Evelyn loved to paint, sing, shop, dance, and play cards late into the night. She was initially employed by the State of NY and, after raising her family, returned to work as a talented bridal consultant at Loretta Lane in Latham, NY.

Special thanks to her caregivers at Van Rensselaer Manor and her devoted friends Pat Curtain and Pat Navarian.
