WATERVLIET – Irene A. Sunkis, 68, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home. Born in Troy on May 11, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Charlotte S. Clark Sunkis. Irene was raised in Green Island and graduated from Heatly School.
Irene enjoyed bingo, trips to the Racino and shopping. She loved spending time with friends and family.
She is the sister of Eileen Sunkis of Watervliet and the late Louise Shackett; beloved aunt of Theresa (Rob) Mayo of Latham and Darell Coonrad of Waterford; godmother of Stephen Merrill (Ned) Lafer of Philadelphia, PA; great aunt of Samantha Mayo.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Wednesday from 4:00-6:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 6:30 pm.
