Obituary for Timothy Hurley
WATERVLIET – Timothy Hurley, 70, died June 9, 2019 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Albany on November 30, 1948, he was son of the late Thomas and Doris Hurley. Tim was raised in Green Island and Colonie and was a graduate of Colonie Central High School. He was a navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Tim held several job positions throughout his life and his places of employment included Tobin Packing Company, Crowley Dairy, Bendix Corporation and, most recently, Tran World Entertainment from where he retired due to illness.
In his retirement Tim enjoyed quiet times at home and was an avid fan of the NY Mets and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his wife, Linda J. Valet Hurley; his children, Jason Thomas Hurley and Stephanie Canham; his dear friend and companion, Sharon Welcome and her children, Ronda, April, Jamie and Raymond Welcome; as well as his siblings, Karen Leary, Mary Ellen Corrigan, Jeanann Bordeau, Kevin Hurley and the late Pat Harris. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Tim will be cremated and there will be no services.
