So uncle Johnny always played Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. If you were his niece or nephew or niece or nephew and I’m sure his grandchildren, you would get a call that went something like “Is this (insert your name here)?” In a big booming voice, maybe a little gruff, With unbeknownst to us children, marine authority… So while we held our breath and trembling I asked who that was, he would reply “this is Santa Claus! Have you been a good boy/girl? Why aren’t you in bed yet? You know I can’t come until you’re asleep right? “ so as happens in life we can write people had families of their own and the next generation of children, one of whom is my nephew Larry Turcotte Jr at about age 4. He stood talking on the phone, looking out the window with wonder searching the skies and he said nonplussed by the fact that he was talking to Santa Claus, “But Santa, there’s no snow! How are you going to land your sleigh?” To which Uncle Johnny unerringly replied “I’m coming by helicopter! So you had better get to bed!” I have never forgotten that story, and to this day with far more maturity and understanding I appreciate even more the quick wit and ingenuity that was an intrinsic part of this great and human man. He was loved, still is, and always will be.
To my cousin Pat; please know that you are an amazing woman and your Dad was blessed to have you be his rock when he could no longer be yours. You too are loved and always will be. That truly is our most valuable Legacy. May blessings be with you and yours today and always. Love, Diane

Typo corrections. “great-niece/nephew”, “US Marine authority”, “tremblingly”(not trembling I), as happens...we “grow up and” (not can write).
