Obituary for Annette M. Constanza
LARGO, FL – Annette M. Constanza, 87, formerly of Watervliet, died June 27, 2020 at Maria Manor in St. Petersburg, FL.
She was born in Rochester, NY on June 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Christopher and Lucy Broccolo Constanza. Her family moved to Watervliet and she was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Mary School and Watervliet High School.
Annette was a homemaker and worked at Sacred Heart of Mary Church Rectory in Watervliet and helped run the kitchen for the church bazaars.
She later moved to Florida to pursue a singing career and was a member of the group, “Frankie & Annette” in Florida and Ballston Spa. She was also a receptionist at the YMCA in Clearwater, FL and was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL.
She is the beloved mother of H. James (Sue) Weitzel of Easton, Thomas (Laura) Weitzel of Rensselaer, William (Amy) Weitzel of Taborton and Christine (John) Geraci of Wynantskill; grandmother of Adrian, William, Jenna, Jacob, Michael, Kyle, Victoria, Catherine, T.J., Bryan and Nicole; great grandmother of Gianna, Dominick, Nathan, William, Nora, Bryan, Logan, Carter, Hunter, Kolton and soon to be here William Rex; sister of James (Carol) Constanza of North Greenbush, Christopher Constanza of Troy and the late Dolores M.(surviving Mark) DiVirgilio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 2416 7th Avenue, Watervliet with Rev. Donald J. Rutherford officiating. Her ashes will be buried in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760.
