Obituary for Tammy M. Hennessey

Albany – Tammy M. Hennessey, 52, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Born in Albany on October 14, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hennessey and Catherine Hennessey, who survives.
Tammy was a longtime Watervliet resident. She attended nursing school at the Albany County Nursing Home where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, all while raising her 4 children and working full-time. Her caring nature helped her to excel at work and also carried over into her everyday life as she was always looking after those she cared about. Tammy was a straight-to-the-point type woman who rarely pulled any punches. She knew how to take charge in any situation. Any room she walked into instantly lit up and she was always the life of the party. She will certainly be missed by all who were lucky enough to be in her circle.
Tammy’s memory lives on in her mother, Catherine Johnson Hennessey, her beloved Aunt Mary O’Brien, her children; Catherine (Brittany) St. John of Waterford, Kelly Broderick of Albany, John Broderick, III of Troy, Bobby (Amy) Planz of Petersburgh, and Keanu (Chelsie) Cordova of Schenectady, her grandchildren; Keana, Eleana, Mi’angel, Angelina, Leanna, Amelia-Love, Connor, and Christian, her siblings; Helen (Lori) Dudek of Latham, Bobbie-Jo (Julie) Edwards of Albany, Elaine (Tiffany) Houlihan of Watervliet, and April (Ron) Anderson of Waterford, her nieces and nephews; Leelee, Baebaebae, Eva, Cullen, and Hunter, her close friends; Tim Simmons, and Jerry and Debbie Lutz, the father of her children and close friend, John Broderick, Jr., and her special canine friend Buddy the Beagle. Tammy was preceded in death by her twin grandchildren, Nevaeh and Miracle.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11 AM at Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home in Watervliet with interment following the service in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit before the service, from 10 to 11 AM.
