Obituary for Sue K. Mullady (Keegan)

Albany - On April 18, 2021, Sue K. Mullady, age 75, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born in Troy, NY on October 12, 1945 and raised by her loving parents, the late Leo A. and Elizabeth (Clickner) Keegan Sr. Sue attended Catholic Central High School, graduating in 1963. Sue married the love of her life, the late Michael E. Mullady, and together they raised their two sons in Burnt Hills.

Sue worked for many years at Verizon before transferring to Pennsylvania, where she worked for NovaCare. However, she was most fulfilled when she retired to Florida and worked at the St Petersburg’s Police Dept. She made a lasting impression and many cherished friendships while there. Sue was also President of her condo association, Madeira Norte, and earned the respect of her fellow owners, many of whom became dear friends.

Sue spent the winters at her home in Madeira Beach, Fla., where she and Mike enjoyed the sunshine and living on the beach. She spent the summers enjoying her family and friends at their home-away-from-home on the Great Sacandaga Lake.

Sue loved a good joke and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She was faithful, loyal and giving. Sue’s greatest joys included a card game with her friends and family, sharing her lunch with Ainsley everyday, snuggling with one of the pups, and sitting on the deck while reading a book and enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of Baileys.

Sue’s greatest love, pride and joy was her family. Sue is survived by her devoted sons, Michael (Colleen) Mullady and Patrick Mullady. Sue was the cherished “Trixie” to her grandchildren Patrick (Meghan) Bowers and Ryan (Marissa) Bowers, the adoring “T” to Kevin (Sabrina) Mullady, loving “Grandma T” to Tyler and Marlowe Mullady, and the most adoring “Sis” to her great-granddaughter Ainsley Bowers. Sue also leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved sister Sandra (James) McClure, her brothers and sisters-in-law John K (Chris) Powers, David (Carol) Powers, Karen Keegan, Donna Keegan, and Joe Sebunia, many loving nephews, devoted nieces, lifelong friends and her dear friend and partner-in-crime, Mary Criscone. Sue was predeceased by her beloved siblings Leo(Connie) Keegan, Larry Keegan, David Keegan and Patricia Sebunia. An incredibly strong woman, Sue’s family is forever grateful for her unending strength and courage in fighting the many challenging hands she was dealt, and especially thankful for her son Michael’s extraordinary love and care, which gave us many more cherished years with her. We will miss her forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G Komen For the Cure or St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Sue's memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sue on Wednesday April 21st at 9:30 am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd. in Loudonville. Burial will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
