Obituary for Ann K. Nash (Keegan)

Green Island – Ann K. Nash, 68, of Green Island, passed peacefully from this life on April 26, 2021, at her home with her husband and two children by her side. Born December 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Rose Keegan.

Ann grew up in Green Island and was a 1971 graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy. She then went on to further her education at Maria College and The College of Saint Rose, earning her degree in early childhood education. Annie spent her career working as a preschool teacher for the Catholic Diocese of Albany. She retired in 2014 and along with her husband enjoyed exploring sites around the United States while visiting family. Annie was an avid reader, loved to bake for her family, and enjoyed taking walks with her husband and dog. She found joy in the little things in life and nothing made her happier or more proud than her children and grandchildren. Annie was a kind-hearted and giving person who would do just about anything for those she loved. The true matriarch of her family, Annie will certainly be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

Annie is survived by her husband, Glenn Nash of Green Island; her two children, Meghan (Nicholas) Nash Germano of Nebraska and Matthew (Kate) Nash of Altamont; her three grandsons, Michael, Aidan, and Nolan Nash; her siblings, Jack (Susan) Keegan of Arizona, Ellen Keegan of Clifton Park, and Michael (Eileen) Keegan of Albany; her sister-in-law, Patricia Bruno of Connecticut; her niece, Elizabeth Bruno-McClung and her nephews, Christopher and Michael Keegan.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Annie in a special way may consider a donation to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society at 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (https://giving.mskcc.org/donate)
