Obituary for Margaret Jean "Peggy" Valet (Bowen)
WATERVLIET – Margaret Jean “Peggy” Valet, 89, died Friday, December 10, 2021. She was born in Troy on October 20, 1932, the daughter of the late David Bowen and Mae Malthaner. She was a resident of Watervliet for most of her life.
She was the beloved mother of the late Joseph Valet who died in 1988; dear sister of Susan Woods of Watervliet. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Thursday from 10-11 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am with Deacon Charles V. Wojton officiating. Her ashes will be buried on top of her son Joseph following the service at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Watervliet.
