Obituary for Andrew Pazinko

NORTH GREENBUSH - Andrew Pazinko, 93, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

He was born in Yonkers, NY, the son of the late Andrew and Mary Pazinko. He was a resident of the Capital District for most of his life. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

He was employed by the Armour & Company and Levonian Brothers, Inc. as a butcher for many years before retiring.

He was an active member of St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church in Maplewood, serving as a past president of the Church Council, past president of the SOYUZ Society and a member of the Cemetery Committee.

Andy loved gardening and working around his home. He built all his families five homes.

He was the husband of the late Anna Pazinko who died in 2003; beloved father of Dorothy, Peter (Ginger) and the late Andrew; grandfather of Julie (Matt) and Patrick; great grandfather of Jonah; brother of the late Mary and Anna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 am from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 11:00 am at St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church, Maplewood. Interment will be in the spring at St. Basil’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-6 pm with the Panahyda wake service at 5:30 pm.

Masks are required at the wake at the funeral home and the funeral service in church
