Obituary for William Paul Rezey II

Glenville - William Paul Rezey II, 51, passed away peacefully on March 27th at 12:03pm surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born in Niskayuna, NY to William P. Rezey Sr. and Barbara Sue Deis and raised in Schaghticoke. He is survived by his father and sisters Erika (Karl Maisch) Sarah (Barrett Thibeau) and Shelly (Chris McNamara). He is pre deceased by his Mom, Barbara Deis, his maternal grandmother, Sue Deis and paternal grandparents Rose and Peter Rezey. He also leaves behind his Uncle Mike and Aunt Marrian and niece and nephews Jessie, Isaac, John, and Savanna, as well as many cousins.

Paul graduated from Hoosic Valley High School and then joined the Navy, serving aboard the USS Independence in the Persian Gulf during the war. He was honorably discharged and later attended Schenectady Community College for Culinary Arts.

Paul began a long career with Sodexo Dinning Service as a food preper and cook. He later joined Mazzarella Foods, prepping, cooking and serving food at festivals and concerts.

Paul will be remembered by his family and friends as a thoughtful and peaceful soul … an advocate of peaceful compromise.

Paul’s family and friends will gather Monday April 4th, 2022 between 9:30 am and 12:00 pm at St. Ann Maronite Catholic Church, 1919 Third Ave., Watervliet, NY for the wake and Requium Mass at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery where a military burial with full honors will commence at 2:30pm.
