Obituary for Margaret I. Kowal
LATHAM – Margaret Kowal passed from this life, at the age of 70, on July 21, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Margaret was born in Glens Falls, New York on August 29, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Wasyl “Bill” and Tonia Kowal. A lifelong Watervliet resident, she more recently was a resident of Bouchard House in Latham and was a member of St. Basil Russian Orthodox Church in Maplewood.
Margaret is survived by her cherished friends and staff at Bouchard House in Latham and her parish family at St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church in Maplewood.
A funeral service will be held for Margaret on Tuesday at 11 am in St. Basil Russian Orthodox Church in Maplewood and burial will follow in St. Basil’s Cemetery. Visiting will be held at the church on Monday from 4 until 6 pm. A Panikhida service will conclude the evening at 6pm.
