Obituary for Emily Elizabeth Wagner

Watervliet – Emily Elizabeth Wagner passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the young age of 30.

Emily, the much loved daughter of Alan K. Wagner and Monique (LaBoissiere) Wagner, was born in Troy on June 30, 1992 and was a life-long Watervliet resident. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School and later attended Adirondack Community College and Hudson Valley Community College. She recently had been considering pursuing a career in veterinary medicine after being influenced by her love for animals and her recent employment with a local veterinary hospital.

Emily enjoyed the outdoors and all it had to offer. She loved to take walks, hike and, on occasion, would parasail. She will be remembered as a creative person who had artistic talent, a sense of humor, loved animals and found her spirituality in nature. She loved music and her favorite band was Phish.

A cherished daughter, granddaughter, niece and friend, Emily will be missed by all those whom she loved and lives she touched.

Emily was the maternal granddaughter of Carol LaBoissiere who she loving referred to as her “YaYa” and the late Vincent LaBoissiere; the paternal granddaughter of the late Elaine Sherman and George Wagner; niece of Steven (Kris) Wagner and Janet Wagner. She is also survived by numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, her two feline companions and many friends.

A service of remembrance and reflection for Emily will be held on Friday at 1 pm in the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery on Oakwood Avenue in Troy. Friends are invited to attend. It is requested that flowers not be sent and that donations be made to the Hudson Mohawk Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in her memory.
