Obituary for Connie Rae Byster (Lodge)
Saratoga Springs - Our dear mother, Connie Rae Byster, 77, died peacefully on September 24, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Long Beach, CA on July 30, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Bowles) Lodge.
Connie was a wonderful woman who loved and cared deeply for her family and friends, and especially for her life-long partner, David. She graduated from Linton High School in 1963, and married Theodore “Ted” Byster, the father of her two beautiful daughters, whom she cherished. Connie worked as a key puncher at New York State Dept. of Tax & Finance, and also worked at Logic World, Business Environments by Ras, and Manufacturing Housing.
Connie was beloved by her family and all who had the privilege of meeting her. She will be remembered fondly as a woman with a funny sense of humor who loved to spend time with her daughters and five grandchildren. She was also so excited for her first great-granddaughter’s arrival this November.
Connie leaves behind her beloved David Hoadley of Saratoga Springs, her loving daughters, Lori Tse of Poughkeepsie and Dawn (Ronald) Wagner of Ballston Spa, and her dear grandchildren: Gabrielle (Philip) Aukscunas, Kristine Tse, Alexandra Tse, Jeremy Tse, and Rebekah Tse. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Bonnie Davis and Mark Lodge, and by many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Friday, October 7 from 9 to 11 AM with a service of remembrance at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, those who would like to remember Connie may consider a donation to the American Heart Association, P.O.
