Obituary for MaryLou Beauchea (O'Neil)

Troy – MaryLou Beauchea, 85, a lifelong resident of Troy, passed away at home on Monday, October 10, 2022. Born in Troy on September 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Clare (Blume) O’Neil.

In her youth, MaryLou attended St. Peter’s Academy in Troy and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1956. She then married and spent most of her time as a stay at home mother raising her beloved children. MaryLou later worked at New York Telephone Company for 25 years until her retirement in 1997. In her free time MaryLou loved skiing, traveling around the United States in her Winnebago, crafting, sewing, baking, and tending to the flowers in her garden. She had a strong sense of humor that could lift the spirits of any room. MaryLou truly lived her life for her family and she would move mountains for her loved ones.

MaryLou is survived by her children; Michael (Elly) Beauchea of Cobleskill, Michele (Bill) Plummer of Melrose, and Monique Neaton of Potsdam, her grandchildren; Ryan (Valerie) Hallman, Danielle Plummer, Kyle Plummer, Stacy (Chris) Wise, Francesca (Matt) Traub, Corey Neaton, Spencer Neaton, Mackenzie Neaton, and Quincy Neaton, her great-grandchildren, James Plummer and Zoe Wise, and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Beauchea and her daughter Debra (late Matthew) Graves.

All are invited to visit with MaryLou’s family from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday October 16 at Cummings Funeral Home, Watervliet. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday morning, October 17 at 9 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Cohoes, with interment to follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.
