Obituary for Mary Theresa McKee
TROY – Mary Theresa McKee, 76, died Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. She was born in Troy, the daughter of the late Lincoln McKee of Schenectady and the late Marion Carter McKee of Watervliet.
Theresa was raised in Troy and was a 1964 graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was employed by Behr-Manning in Watervliet and Cluett Peabody in Troy.
She enjoyed artwork, crocheting, bingo and scratch tickets. She was a member of the Watervliet and Green Island Senior Citizens.
Theresa was a beautiful, kind, thoughtful and selfless person who was always willing to help others.
She was the beloved sister of Sandy (Larry) Dingee of Watervliet, Kathleen McKee of Latham and Michele (Mario) Rivera of Cape May, NJ; adored aunt of Carolyn (Chris) Halloran, Larry Dingee III, Michele (Jude) Kelly, Kenneth (Heather) Dingee, Elia (John) Sheldon, Jennifer (Dennis) Newman, Caitlin (Kevin) Console and Mario (SuLi) Rivera and 7 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces; best friend of Maggie Ippolito.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Katherine and Joseph Carter and her nephew, Chad Rivera.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11 am at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet followed by the burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may call prior to the service on Friday from 10-11 am.
