Obituary for Bianca Razzano (Dinardo)

HALFMOON – Bianca Razzano, 98, formerly of Watervliet and Lansingburgh, died peacefully at her home on Monday, March 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Claremont, NH on August 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Orazio and Amalia (Valente) Dinardo.

Bianca was raised in Troy and was a graduate of Troy High School where she was the captain of her intramural basketball and volleyball teams. She was employed by the City of Troy Vital Statistics, Pioneer Savings Bank, Red Cross in Lansingburgh and the Commission of Economic Opportunity.

Bianca was a wonderful mother raising her nine children. She enjoyed cooking and baking, ceramics, sitting on her deck visiting with her children and grandchildren and trips to Wildwood Crest on the Jersey Shore. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford and formerly St. Patrick’s Church and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church both in Watervliet.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Razzano, Sr. who died December 17, 1980; loving and devoted mother of Frank (Lynda) Razzano, Marlene (Jeffrey) Oliver, Anthony J. (Deborah) Razzano, Jr., Susanne (Frank) Lotano, Janet (David) Russell, Jeanne (Vince) Mamone, James (Dorothy) Razzano, David “Otto” (Theresa Beaudoin) Razzano and Richard E. (Wendy) Razzano; sister of Joseph (Lorraine) Millay and the late John and Angelo Dinardo and Janet Lassi; sister-in-law of Elinor Dinardo, Margaret Kocienski and Yolanda Marziani She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Bianca’s son Richard E. Razzano, grandson Francis Razzano and granddaughter Rachel Palmer for their tireless, around the clock critical care support during her final days.

Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Sunday from 3-6 pm. Her funeral mass will be Monday at 10:30 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 119 Broad Street, Waterford with Rev. Patrick Butler officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet.
