Obituary for Edmund N. Maier
WATERVLIET – Edmund N. Maier, 75, formerly of Latham and Albany, died Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
He was born in Albany on May 6, 1947, the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Maier. He was raised in Latham and lived in Albany for many years before moving to Watervliet 15 years ago.
Edmund was proudly employed for over 45 years by the Department of General Services for the City of Albany in the sanitation division before retiring in 1995.
He loved to watch horror movies and was Elvis Presley’s #1 fan.
He is the beloved father of Tina M. (late Earl) Lawrence of Watervliet; proud grandfather of Earl Lawrence, Jr., dear brother of Butch, Joe, Dorothy and Joan Maier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Wednesday, March 22nd from 12:00-1:00 pm followed by a service at 1:00 pm. His ashes will be interred at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie following the service.
