Obituary for Joyce L. Beaudette (Marshall)

LOUDONVILLE - Joyce L. (Marshall) Beaudette passed peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the age of 88.

Joyce was born on August 4, 1934 in Albany, the daughter of the late Raymond Kenneth and Louise (Schramm) Marshall. She was raised and educated in Albany and was married to Joseph A. Beaudette, Jr. with whom she shared 54 years of marriage before his passing on August 15, 2013. The early years of her married life were dedicated to raising her family and caring for her home. She enjoyed estate and garage sales and visiting thrift shops and had a passion for antiques. She founded and operated Joe and Joyce’s Antiques in Loudonville. Joyce will be remembered for her talent as a baker, cake decorator and seamstress.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff of the Teresian House in Albany for the wonderful care and support given to Joyce and her family.

Joyce was the loving mother of Patty (Steve) Krage, Steven (late Becky) Beaudette, Nancy (Ed) Ashline and Jean (Bryan) Delano; grandmother of Zachary Krage, Sara Wilkerson, Claire Mowery, Alex Beaudette, Bryan, the late Eddie, Matthew and Andrew Ashline, Christopher Dylan, Scott and Patrick Delano; great-grandmother of Jackson, Ellie, Stella, Lily, Ruby, Fiona and Miles.; sister of William (late Katherine) Marshall, late Kenneth (late Ann) Marshall and late Harry Marshall; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm in the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Friends are invited to attend the services and may also visit with Joyce’s family, prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 am until 1 pm.

Flowers are appreciated but for those who prefer, a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 would be appreciated in Joyce’s memory.
