Obituary for Kathleen T. Richards (Foster)

Kathleen T. Richards (Foster)
St. Johnsville – Kathleen T. (Foster) Richards, 70, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.

Born in Troy, NY, Kathleen was the daughter of the late John J. and Lillian M. (Robideau) Foster. She was raised in Watervliet and was a graduate of Watervliet High School. Kathleen was employed by the Retail Council of New York State in Albany for many years and retired from there.

She enjoyed the times spent with her husband before his passing away in 1998. Together they enjoyed camping and cruising. Kathleen also enjoyed shopping with her late sister-in-law Patricia Foster. Spending time with her family was most important to Kathleen. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they filled her with pride.

Loved by many, she will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Whitford Lee Richards, Jr.; the loving mother of Linda M. Richards and Brian Lee (Teri) Richards all of St. Johnsville, NY; the cherished grandmother of Daniel and Justin DeBell, Steven Johnson, Cody Richards, Natazia Vingua and Mekena Richards; the proud-great-grandmother of Ayden, Austin and Avery DeBell; the dear sister of the late Richard (late Patricia) Foster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service, which will be held on Monday at 11 am in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie where Kathleen will once again be reunited with her beloved husband Whitford Lee Richards, Jr.

There will be no public visiting hours.
